Polynucleotides
The break-through skin regenerative treatment that naturally improves wrinkles, crepey skin and tired eyes.
We are not your average polynucleotide clinic – Dr Hannah is a polynucleotide expert, trainer and has presented her polynucleotide technique & results at prestigious conferences.
about Polynucleotide treatment
Polynucloeotides are an exciting development in regenerative aesthetics.
Polynucleotides are derived from fish DNA and act as a powerful biostimulator in our skin. Essentially, they signal the skin cells to work harder to make more collagen and elastin.
The treatment involves multiple superfical injections of the gel with a very fine needle.
The benefits of the treatment are increased skin quality, elasticity, reduced fine lines, improved hydration and improved protection from free-radical damage.
The treatment can be used on the face, neck, body, hands and hair.

“I have recently started going to Hannah and couldn’t recommend her more, she takes the time to really understand your concerns and fully explains everything, without rushing or pressurising you. Her recommended treatments have been holistic in approach, the polynucleotides have been transformative, the skin quality around my eyes has noticeably improved.”
faqs
What can polynucleotides treat?
Polynucleotides are perfect for you if you want to focus on natural skin health and regeneration. Polynucleotides help with the following concerns:
Aging and dark circles around the eye area
Fine lines and wrinkles and crepey skin
Hormonal hair loss
Dehydrated and dull skin
Skin laxity on the face and neck
Are polynucleotides the same as filler?
No. Polynucleotides help to improve skin quality, hydration and health. They do not provide structure, support or volume like dermal fillers. Polynucleotides can be combined with dermal fillers and botulinum toxin for amazing results but are also a powerful stand-alone treatment.
Is there anyone that shouldn’t have polynucleotide treatment?
You should avoid polynucleotide treatment if you have a fish allergy or active infection/skin cancer/open wounds in the treatment area. The treatment would not be suitable for vegans.
What are polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are derived from fish DNA (specifically salmon or trout sperm) that has been highly purified in the laboratory to give us chains of nucleotides.
How do polynucleotides work?
Polynucleotides act as a “bio-stimulator”. Once injected and absorbed into the skin, the polynucleotides act by stimulating fibroblast cells (to produce more hyaluronic acid, elastin and collagen), act as free radical scavengers (protecting cells from damage) and also have a direct hydrating effect. They may also have a stimulatory effect in adipose tissue which can help in certain areas of the face that has lost fat (eg. under the eye and the top lip).
Can I combine polynucleotides with other treatments?
Dr Hannah has developed a signature treatment which involves a combination of Morhpeus8 with polynucleotides around the eye area, in a single treatment sitting. These powerful biostimulating treatments work synergistically to give amazing results. It also has the benefit that any minor downtime is combined. Polynucleotides can also be successfully combined with SkinPen.
There is evidence emerging that polynucleotides can work synergistically with botulinum toxin. The theory is that collagen remodelling of static lines (achieved by polynucleotides) is more efficient while the muscle is in a relaxed state.
However, you can still achieve great results with polynucleotide treatment alone.
Are polynucleotides better than Profhilo?
You can learn more about Profhilo here.
Polynucleotides and Profhilo can both be considered “skin boosters” as they will both increase the hydration of the skin and increase collagen production. However, there are important differences in these products. Polynucleotides mainly work by being a powerful biostimulator. Profhilo mainly works by having a high concentration of hyaluronic acid and therefore giving a surge of moisture to the skin. Polynucleotides have the advantage of being able to be used in almost any area of the face whereas Profhilo is restricted to the mid/lower face and neck. Polynucleotides often take months to see full results, whereas Profhilo can give you a more rapid glow.
So, in summary, if your main concern is your forehead lines or under eye skin, you want to invest in the quality of your skin long term, and/or you have more mature skin then go for polynucleotides.
If you want a quick glow and plumpness to your skin on the cheeks/jawline and chin, such as before a holiday/wedding/event then Profhilo is the gold standard for this.
If you aren’t sure, that’s what a detailed consultation is for! Dr Hannah will assess your skin, explain the different products and make a recommendation for you.
What brand of polynucleotide do we use?
Not all polynucleotides are created equal. At Kindred Clinic, we use the Plinest brand of polynucleotides. This brand is well known for it’s quality, purity and safety.
Does polynucleotide treatment hurt?
A strong numbing cream is applied before treatment. Most people find polynucleotides a bit stingy during each injection but this is momentary and not prolonged.
Why choose KinDred Clinic for your polynucleotide treatment?
When considering polynucleotide treatment, it is important to choose a clinic with experience. The precision of injection is essential to reduce bruising and to ensure the treatment works. Even 1mm difference in injection depth can cause the treatment to be ineffective. Dr Hannah was one of the first doctors in Bristol to introduce polynucleotides (in early 2023, before many of the bigger clinics caught on!). We have performed hundreds of polynucleotide treatments, utilise advanced techniques (such as cannula) and combine treatments for expert results. Dr Hannah’s expertise in polynucleotides has led to her becoming a Dermafocus polynucleotide trainer and has presented her technique at national conferences.
How many treatments do I need?
Some people notice a difference with a single treatment. However, we would advise an initial course of 3 treatments followed by a single booster treatment every 4-6 months.
How much does polynucleotide treatment cost?
Prices from £250 (see here for full pricing)
