consultation
We offer a range of different consultation options with our experienced skin, aesthetic, nutrition and pelvic health experts.
Prior to all injectable treatments, patients should attend for an initial consultation with Dr Hannah or her associate doctors/dentists.
When you come to KinDRed, you can be assured you are being seen by true experts – each of our doctors, dentists and skin therapists have decades of experience.
about your consultation
For most patients, the first step on their journey towards better skin will be a consultation with one of our experienced doctors/dentists.
The consultation will be 45 minutes entirely devoted to you. We’ll be able to learn more about you, your particular concerns, your medical history, your lifestyle, your skincare, previous treatments and you’ll be given ample opportunity to ask all the questions you would like.
We believe that the initial consultation is one of the most important appointments you will have at the clinic. Our aim is that you leave with a much better understanding of your skin and a mutually agreeable, fully bespoke treatment plan. One of the things that people find most helpful about a consultation is understanding the treatments that won’t help or could make things worse. We are able to give you this invaluable expert advice due to our decades of medical experience.
A consultation is needed for all new patients seeking aesthetic treatments – so that we can properly get to know you, make a medical and facial assessment and a plan that is truly bespoke to you.
CONSULTATION LENGTH: 45 minutes
“Dr Hannah immediately put me at ease. She listened to what I was looking to achieve, took time to explain different treatment options and answer any questions I had, all with patience and care.”

Why do we charge a consultation fee?
KinDRed Clinic is home to some of the most highly trained and qualified aesthetic clinicians in Bristol. All of our initial aesthetic consultations and all injectable treatments are carried out by qualified doctors who have received a Certificate of Completion of Training (ie. Senior GPs and Consultants) and dentists. We are one of the only skin clinics in Bristol to offer this level of expertise. “Cheap” often turns out to be the most expensive mistake. We value knowledge, integrity, care, honesty and safety and we hope you do too.
We believe that by charging a modest consultation fee, we can give you the time we feel you deserve to have a full assessment, recommendation and discussion.
We have moved away from a complimentary consultation or “consultation fee redeemable against treatment” model as we want our advice to be independent from any future treatment. For example, it gives us and you the freedom to sometimes agree that no treatment is the best plan, or even a surgical option elsewhere. Sometimes that information alone will be worth your consultation fee as it will prevent you from wasting your money on a treatment that will not benefit you.
However, in most cases we will be able to offer you a truly transformational plan and we want to have the time to fully discuss it with you!
If you are an existing patient, and want to discuss your next steps, we can usually do this during a treatment appointment or you can book a dedicated “review” appointment.
What will happen at my consultation?
You will be welcomed to KinDRed Clinic and offered a refreshment. The clinician will show you to the consultation room and introduce themselves. They will ask some questions about you and your medical history and any previous cosmetic treatments. We will have a relaxed discussion about what has brought you to the clinic and any particular treatments you are interested in learning more about. You may have a skin scan using our state of the art facial scanner. Your clinician will make a full facial assessment and, taking your medical history into account, will make a recommendation. Your clinician will explain the suggested treatments fully, including the benefits and risks. If your clinician feels you would benefit from treatments not available at KinDRed Clinic, such as cosmetic surgery, they will discuss these with you. You may be given some leaflets to take home to look at. You will not be obliged to have any of the treatments suggested. The consultation is a precious opportunity to focus on YOU. There are no silly questions so feel free to ask anything you like.
Can I be treated at the initial consultation?
In most cases, we will encourage you to have a “cooling off” period to think about all the information before having a treatment. However in certain circumstances, such as having had the same treatment before, it may be possible to have the treatment at the end of your initial consultation. Examples of treatments that may be possible at the end of your initial consultation are “botox”, CryoPen and Profhilo. For other treatments, it is most likely that you will need to make a separate appointment.
Can I bring someone with me to my consultation?
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring someone with you to your consultation and treatments. Just be aware that we will ask you about your medical history and previous treatments. Unfortunately, children and babies cannot attend the clinic due to safety reasons.
